BACTOSTAT™ technology differs from traditional antibacterial technology. It contains no organic and metallic bactericides, no preservatives, no nanoparticles, and no coatings as well. With the advanced manufacturing process, we have engineered the molecular structure of the plastic raw materials to generate a surface microenvironment that discourages the adherence and subsequent proliferation of bacteria, molds, and mildews. Harmful bacteria deposited on the surface of the product can also be easily washed away.
Our approach stands out as it is entirely biocide-free, coating-free, and non-leaching, ensuring a food-contact-safe and sustainable solution. This technology prevents the growth of harmful bacteria through physical/mechanical means. Moreover, rigorous testing has validated that BACTOSTAT™ polymer does not compromise the inherent strength and characteristics of the base plastic material.
